Engineered to deliver the ultimate in forged performance, the new Callaway Apex Pro 16 Irons have a more compact shape and design, offering a classic look demanded by better players, the Apex Pro is a result of extensive input from Callaway’s Tour players feedback.
The biggest difference with the new Apex Pro irons over last years model is Callaway’s ‘Flow Weighting’ technology, the inspiration for this actually comes from the MD3 wedge range. Three weight ports in the back of the head, behind the ‘forged’ badge. The long irons (3-5), have more offset and a tungsten insert placed in the ports to lower the CG and make it easier for golfers to launch the ball. While the shorter irons (6-AW) have a higher CG providing a controlled, penetrating trajectory. ‘Flow Weighting’ technology has allowed Callway’s engineers to move the clubs CG without compromising the shape of the club or the enhanced playability and forgiveness that golfers have come to expect from the Apex line.
The extremely soft feel found on the new Apex Pro 16 irons is down to a quadruple net forging process the use of 1025 mild carbon steel and precision milling to produce a new standard for incredibly soft feel in a forged iron. When combining all these elements of advanced technologies along with a classic shaping, you end up with a premium forged iron engineered for the best players.
